Soul Connections

Meeting and knowing Sanskruti Sharma and Kinjal Shah, project leaders at Shwas have made me believe that biology is the least that makes a woman a mother. Their compassionate heart and unconditional love for the kids is adorable.

A week before Uttarayan they announce to celebrate Uttarayan with our Shwas kids.

Uttarayan celebration
Shwas/Municipal School 7 & 8 , Gulbai Tekra

As always we start with a prayer and 5 minutes of silence. The power of silence almost makes the naughtiest of kids calm and composed. Sanskruti breaks the silence by explaining them the purpose of todays meeting and asks the kids to share their Makarsakaranti Experience.
After the circle of sharing, the kids are divided into groups, each given their own kite and firki. Some of the kids tie kinyas. A few with the help of volunteers start flying the kites. There were some who did not accept the help offered and replied ‘Mane avde che sir, hu jate chadavish’ 
Today the ambience at the project was different. Love was in the air and all present were falling in love with the world. Our infatuation for the freedom from cluttering thoughts was growing more. With the kites flying high in the air our hearts soared up high too.

There were couples formed: one kid-one volunteer. One could experience the inter connectedness each human shares with each other. You start wondering that soul really seeks for connections and not separations.

Sanskruti then thinks of a super brilliant idea. She gets the car and puts the music on.The kids get energized with electrifying music and soon one can hear the hoot ‘LAPET AND KAIPYO CHE’.

Everybody was ALIVE! Living in the authentic present and making oneself more aware of the very present moment.

We then receive a call from Jaitun Seth, founder of the project. Jaitun being in Canada and having planned to pursue his studies there, he has not been with kids for the last two weeks. All the kids are thrilled to talk to him on phone. The delighted kids enquires about his health and if their favourite Sir was missing them 

After all the kite flying fun, the project leader gathers all the kids in a circle. Again we have a prayer with all the kids sitting in a circle and volunteers surrounding them. The kids have snacks in silence.
The kids then leave with lovely memories in their heart and kites in their hands 

Thank you note:
I am thankful to all the volunteers: Komal ,Nisha , Siddhi, Siddharth, Deval, Khushali, Shefali, Sahil , Akhil, Parth, Jinal, Sharad and the kids for their unconditional love.

It helps to conceive spirituality and eventually develop a deeper spiritual understanding.

Circle of Sharing by volunteers:
No one at Shwas is trying to create change in society but just encouraging each other to develop a warm and a caring heart which eventually may bring about change in us-the way we are mechanized today and think about who we truly are and what we are becoming.

Project Shwas teaches us nothing is going to remain the way it is except : our values and our hearts.
